Social Networking Training/Open House

The response to our new website and electronic newsletter, Hoofbeats & Heartbeats was astounding. Encouraged by this response, we have continued to develop the website to support our communication efforts even more. We are about to launch our newest addition to the website -- a social networking platform where you’ll be able to create photo galleries,embed videos, create groups , communicate with each other and generally stay connected and keep informed with the Whitemud Equine Learning Centre’s initiatives and with each other.

You are invited to attend one of our two one our training sessions on our new social networking platform. The first will be help on Friday, September 17 from 2:30 to 3:30pm and the second during our Annual General Meeting on Thursday, September 23 from 6:00 to 7:00pm. Both training sessions will be led by Marilyn Jones, a social media trainer, educator and consultant. During the session, she’ll demonstrate the many benefits of social networking and how to take the best advantage of our new social networking component of our new website. You’ll see how easy it is to enable social networking to collaborate with fellow students and alumni, instructors, volunteers, board and committee members. You’ll have activity streams, photo galleries, video support, organic groups, event management, customized profile, private messaging, variable privacy settings and integration with Twitter and Facebook, all at your fingertips. Mother's Day Tea Party Photos

Sunday, May 9, from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Your Mother will relax in the ambience of the riverside log cabin in the park, surrounded by horses on the heritage farm "where river valley trails began".

Enjoy delicious tea, good food, delightful music and poetry as Volunteers of Whitemud take you back to a gentle place 'steeped' in history and tradition.

Silent Auction of horse-related jewellry and art and other motherly gifts available in the log cabin porch.

Proceeds benefit animals and students at Edmonton's own equine centre and restore facilities for community use.

Thank you for everyone who helped make our first annual Mother's Day Tea Party a great success!
